Freedom Looks Different Out Here

A sunset, behind a covered barndominium porch, with a landscaped flower bed, lined with rough boulders, and adorned with pink prairie coneflowers, an old whiskey barrel, and a barnwood American flag.

Out here, freedom doesn’t always look loud.

Sometimes it looks like a quiet morning on the farm before the world wakes up. A gravel road leading home. A campfire glowing after sunset. Kids fishing the pond while the dogs run the shoreline. The smell of fresh-cut hay drifting across an open field.

It’s long summer evenings. Back porch conversations. Wide-open spaces where you can breathe a little deeper and hear yourself think.

For many of us, this way of life is easy to take for granted.

The freedom to own land. To work the ground. To raise a family where values still matter. To hunt, fish, farm, build, roam, and gather with the people we love.

These simple moments are part of something much bigger.

This Memorial Day, we’re reminded that the freedoms we enjoy every day came at a cost carried by men and women who were willing to serve and sacrifice for this country.

Because of them, we get mornings like these. We get places like this. We get the opportunity to leave a legacy on the land we love.

Today we remember those who made these freedoms possible. Thank you, and may God Bless you and your families! Freedom isn't free, and we appreciate your sacrifices more than words can say.
